WNYMuslims is very excited to be participating in the 2nd Annual 'World Hijab Day' this February 1st! With help from Buffalo 'World Hijab Day' Ambassador Jenece Gerber, WNYMuslims is ecstatic to be planning great things for the event which is described as:
"A means to foster religious tolerance and understanding by inviting women (non-Hijabi Muslims/non-Muslims) to experience the hijab for one day."
As a part of our special plans, we are asking for community members to donate new hijabs (headscarves) and hijab pins for our event! We are also looking for volunteers to help us with our planning!
Look back for more details!

Featured Photograph of the Week
This weeks's feature is by WNYMuslims photographer Mustafa Hussain, taken of the NYC skyline "around 10 am from the 70th floor of the Rockefeller Building."
Says Mustafa, "The morning fog is still lingering between the buildings but you can [still] definitely see it on the river to the right. The building in the foreground is the empire state building and the tall one behind it to the right is the One World Trade Tower (aka Freedom Tower)."
If you have taken a photograph that you think should be featured, please send it in with a description of the shot, and a short bio of yourself to WNYMuslims@WNYMuslims.org.
