WELCOMING JAMI MASJID'S NEW IMAM

Alhamdulilah we have been blessed to welcome back Mufti Zakariya Memon at Jami Masjid of Buffalo. Mufti Zakariya served as our Imam in Ramadan 2021 and we are happy to have him back in this position. Mufti Zakariya comes from a family of scholars and carries forward the legacy of the esteemed Hazrat Doctor Ismail Memon (Radi Allahu Anhu).

Mufti Zakariya began his training in Islamic sciences after he memorized the entire Quran at 9 years of age. After this, he enrolled in Darul Uloom Madania for his Alim course. After 7 years of study, he traveled to Darul Iftaa Mahmoodiya (https://askimam.org/) in South Africa where he completed his Ifta Course and became a Mufti. He served as the Imam of Sarnia Islamic Association for 2 years before becoming the Principal of the Seminary of Sacred Knowledge in Amherstburg, ON. He has a mastery of Hanafi Fiqh, Aqida, Tafseer, and Hadith. His dedication and contributions have been particularly noteworthy in Amherstburg, Ontario, where he played a pivotal role in fostering a strong and vibrant Islamic community.

We believe that Mufti Zakariya's knowledge, leadership, and commitment will be a valuable addition to our Jami Masjid family. We kindly invite all of you to join us in extending him a warm and heartfelt welcome. Let us come together as a community to support him in his role as our Imam and look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on our community and individual spiritual journey.
