WNYMuslims Presentation on Islam
WNYMuslims was invited to BOCES to talk about Muslims in the Workplace. Professor Faizan Haq gave a very lively and informative lecture on this topic. Faizan Haq teaches Islamic Studies at University at Buffalo and Intercultural Communications at Buffalo State College. The audience was quick to jump in and ask questions and share with everyone their experiences. It was a great forum for the community to have open and honest dialogue.

Fun at the ISNF Spring Festival

This weekend, at the Islamic Society of Niagara Frontier, an annual festival was held for the benefit of the mosque. Due to the tireless efforts of volunteers who spent hours of their time organizing the event a joyful experience was had by all. For the many families in attendance numerous items were donated. Interview with Pakistani Folk Artist- Arif Lohar
WNYMuslims had the unique opportunity recently to interview Pakistan’s most popular contemporary folk singer, Arif Lohar. Mr. Lohar was invited by ARTSWego on the SUNY Oswego campus to celebrate the cultural diversity in the last event of a series called Caravanserai, which translates to “a place where cultures meet”.
