The Third Annual Twinning event, is an interfaith event which looks at the history and other commonalities of the three Abrahamic religions: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. The event took place Sunday, November 20th at the Islamic Cultural Center. It was another successful year and will hopefully keep growing. The Islamic Center had already invited people from the immediate neighborhood to visit the mosque, so the two events were combined to give an audience of more than 60 people. Dr. Hodan Isse, wife of the Prime Minister of Somalia and Rabbi Drorah Setel spoke briefly on the theme, “Reviving Abrahamic Values,” followed by remarks from Rabbi Lauri Green and Imam Daoud. Imam Nazim Mangera, the local Imam of Masjid An-Noor recited scripture from the Qu’ran. The audience asked many questions and offered insightful comments. After the speakers presented guests were given a tour of the mosque and a lovely dinner followed.
