The first discussion of a four part series was a discussion you would literally call ‘Meeting of the minds’. Not only did we bridge gaps by a simple game of ice breakers, each respective individual related to Eboo Patel by his or her personal struggles and real-life situations. The story of an American Muslim (Eboo Patel), his struggle for the Soul of a Generation really sparked interest in the lives of the students, advisers, professors, and professionals present at the meeting.
Thanks to the award of a grant from the NY Council for the Humanities, WNYMuslims and the University at Buffalo’s Cora P. Maloney College hosted this adult reading discussion program titled ‘Muslim Journeys’ on September 18th at 6:30pm. This program is free of charge and open to the public. Participants will meet once a month from September to December (a total of three meetings left) to discuss the books included in the program. The Second of four meetings will be held October 16th at Network of Religious Communities in Buffalo from 6:30PM – 8:00PM. *Please note that meeting locations will vary throughout the program.* Dates and locations for the rest of the meetings are listed on our website.
