On Sunday August 25, 2019 WNYMuslims celebrated its annual Eid Carnival to commemorate the festivities of Eid-Al-Adha for the children and families of the community of Buffalo.

It was held at Martin Luther King Park between 12:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Free food and activities were offered for everyone. The food served included halal hot dogs, chips, drinks, popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream. Ice cream was provided to children for free by James the Ice Cream Dude. Children also enjoyed bounce houses and games at the event. Variety of Arab style foods and sweets were offered by Mr. Waal Bakkar. Prize distribution ceremony for the Collective Writing Competition was also conducted. Security coverage for the event was provided by the Forseti Protection Group. Raffle draw was also the part of the program, which was collectively sponsored by Halal Guys restaurant and WNYMuslims.

We highly appreciate the co- sponsorship of The City of Buffalo Common Council- Masten District, and the generous contributions made by United Healthcare and Acutis Diagnostics. Special thanks to Mr. Saleem Siddiqui for his voluntary photography services for the event. Its’ the consistent dedication of the founder of the organization, Prof. Faizan Haq and his family that made this event so successful, for which we are extremely grateful.

In the end,we would like to thank everyone who attended and specially volunteered, without their consistent support, we would not be able to hold such a successful event. We are extremely awed by the over-whelming response of the community and we hope that we’ll get the same retort in future as well.
