A Colorful Night of Celebration

A Colorful Night of Celeb...

On behalf of WNYMuslims, we would like to wish Eid Mubarak to everyone. May this Eid be blessed with happiness, peace and prosperity.

On Monday, June 3rd, WNYMuslims celebrated its annual event of Chaand Raat to bid farewell to Ramadan and to celebrate the night of the moon before the festival of Eid. This year it was organized on a larger scale at an activity hall/gym of a local church in order to accommodate more people. It was a spectacular event, thanks to all, who participated/attended and made it successful. More than 25 vendors from all over WNY took the advantage of this golden opportunity and introduced their businesses of food, apparels, jewelry, halal vitamins, organic cosmetics, henna tattooing, aesthetic services etc. to the community.

We are extremely thrilled by the over-whelming response of our community, which encouraged us to come up with such events more frequently and on a larger scale as we had to refuse several vendors due to lack of space.

Prof. Faizan Haq, Founder, WNYMuslims, in his speech emphasized on the need of such events through which the community will not only become financially viable but also be exposed to the opportunities of networking by mingling with the people of different cultural backgrounds, as the mission of WNYMuslims is to promote diversity through service and awareness.

Ms. Mahbubab Siraj, WNY Sr. Sales & Marketing Representative- United Healthcare Community Plan, introduced the organization as a channel to learn about the changing world of medical insurance plans, premiums and benefits, so you can make decisions that is suitable for you and your family.

Several activities like kids’ quiz with prizes, lucky draw etc. were conducted to entertain the guests. In the end, Farina Mirza, Community Outreach Coordinator, WNYMuslims, thanked everyone for such an overwhelming response, even though the party started quite late due to the fast-break at sunset, and lasted until after midnight.

We highly appreciate the community of WNY, like always for supporting us and making our event successful. We hope that we’ll get the same response in future as well.
