The sixth annual graduation ceremony by the Islamic Society of Niagara Frontier, Muslim Student Association and Universal School was held on May 16, 2015. When Universal School first started they only had 38 students and for this years graduation they were able to recognize a remarkable group of now 60 graduates. Another student who received a reward was Imam Ismail Ayash of Masjid Al-Eiman, who received his Masters Degree in Hadith from Medina International University.
The group comprised of students from various high schools and universities, including Lackawanna High School. Brother Husam Ghanim, the head of the school at ISNF hosted the celebration while a guest speaker from University at Buffalo, Professor Amjad Ares, advised the graduates on the bright futures ahead of them. Additionally, Brother Sabry, a graduate from University at Buffalo with a PhD in chemical engineering was the graduate speaker who addressed a variety of life experiences and how far your studies could take you. Each student received an ISNF certificate, as well as a personalized gift of a monogrammed mug, complete with each students name, graduation year and the school they graduated from.
To conclude the event, a potluck dinner was available, as well as a wide array of desserts, in which students, friends and families were able to partake in.
