Muhammad House No. 23: Party & Open House

On Sunday, February 9,  2014 , the “5 Walden Avenue Redevelopment Project Group” of Muhammad Mosque No. 23 is sponsoring a “Thanks For Your Support Party & Open House” celebration to honor those within the community who donated to its “Afternoon of Grace”  fundraiser held on the property of 5 Walden Avenue at Best & Genesee Streets in Buffalo, last October the 4th.Party

The entire community is invited to join us as we honor those individuals and Businesses who made donations of $500 or more towards the redevelopment of the property at 5 Walden which when completed, it will be a Mosque, a multicultural learning institution and school, as well as a community services center designed to meet the needs of the multi-ethnic community it will serve.

The “Party & Open House” will take place in our temporary location within the “Crucial Community Center”, located at 230 Moselle Street, beginning at 1PM. It is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served.


Also, there is the regular mosque meeting at 11 am – 1 am:

The meeting will begin with the presentation of an award of  “Sincere Gratitude” to the Rev. Dr. James A. Lewis III,  representing Erie County Medical Center, Mr. L. Nathan Hare, Executive Director, the Community Action Organization of Western New York, and Mr. Hussein Musa, owner of Food Plus Market, 414 E. Amherst Street in Buffalo.

A certificate of “Honorable Mention” will also be presented to Mr. Brian K. Lewis, owner of Brian K. Lewis Funeral Homes, Mr. Jabril Shareef of C & R Housing, and to Mr. Nagi Awas, representative of the Arab American Businessmen’s  Association, for their generous donations of $200 or more .
