FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE
Wednesday, April 26th 2017

WNYMuslims hopes and prays for the victims of the fire at the apartment building on Ingham Street in Lackawanna on Saturday. The fire was labelled suspicious by the investigators.

Several weeks ago there was a telephone book that was set ablaze on the same front porch of the house that was recently burned down. That fire caused only minor damages.

WNYMuslims believes that the hate fueled  fire that took place several weeks ago is equivalent in hate and burned down the same four families house on Saturday. The family is currently enduring severe medical issues due to smoke inhalation and jumping from the upper story to escape the flames. Due to medical troubles  the family is facing  tremendous medical bills that are piling up.

WNYMuslims thanks Lackawanna Fire Department, Erie County Sheriff Investigation Unit and Federal Bureau of Investigation for their quick action in taking on this case. We hope that authorities will continue their investigation until they find the cause and bring any perpetrators to justice

WNYMuslims condemns any hateful acts.

WNYMuslims joins in with the Lackawanna community in helping these families. Please support them  in their most troubling times by donating here:
