Conservation program, documentation of archives, events, exhibitions and museums, lectures, colloquia and conferences, scholarships towards a MPhil in Islamic Art and Archaeology at the University of Oxford, scholarships and grants for post-graduate and post-doctoral study and research, fellowships, travel and field trips, archaeological projects, prizes to students at accredited schools and universities. The majority of the funds available are
zakat monies, and as such can only be granted to Muslim applicants. However, at the discretion of the Advisory Committee, there are also some funds which may be made available to assist non-Muslim scholars and projects administered by non-Muslim organizations.

Applicants for scholarships and academic research must have completed at least a B.A. degree.

Students must be established in their course of study, and in a position to provide an assessment from a current academic supervisor.
The Center for Global Understanding (CFGU) is a non-profit civic and educational organization designed to bring people together. One of our main goals is to help cultivate future Muslim American leaders through our Washington D.C. Internship program. 25 scholarships are available to qualified students for the summer of 2012.
There are ways to pay for tuition through a scholarship or a loan based on interest, but D.A.D. was developed to serve as an alternative. Each year D.A.D. awards scholarships to Muslim students based on applications submitted by them in consideration for the award. The number of scholarships awarded per year varies, depending on the amount of funds raised for that year. Scholarship awards will generally be $1000, but may increase over time as our organization grows. The deadline is August 7

D.A.D. also has
International Internship Stipends. This deadline is July 15th.

The student must not receive any financial benefits from their internship.

FEF, Inc., is a non-profit educational foundation supporting education for Muslim U.S. citizens and permanent residents. The awards are distributed on a need/merit basis up to $3,500 a year for post-secondary education. The Foundation was founded in 1992 by members of the Fadel Family with the aim of encouraging American Muslims to pursue higher education by providing qualified applicants with monetary assistance to help them achieve their educational ambitions. The HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal ISNA Fellowship Program offers the opportunity to receive education and training in non-profit management and philanthropy and prepares Muslims graduate students to become effective and knowledgeable leaders of non-profit organizations in North America.
Fellows will be given the opportunity to study non-profit management, fundraising, capacity development, and other relevant fields. These courses will be taken at the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy or other similar accredited institutions of higher education and centers of philanthropic studies. This scholarship deadline is February 15
th.

Fellows must be enrolled in a qualifying Master’s degree program by Fall semester, 2010, (preference will be given to applicants enrolled at Indiana University programs in non-profit studies or philanthropy).
ISF’s goal is to encourage Muslim students to pursue a college or post-graduate degrees in humanities, social sciences, liberal arts and law through awarding annual scholarships of $1000-$10,000 to deserving students. Scholarships are awarded to Muslim students who have been accepted to top- ranked four-year colleges and universities for undergraduate and post-graduate studies in the aforementioned areas of study. This is a scholarship for Muslims in Non-member countries. Awards are based on academic merit and financial need. Covered in the award is full tuition, medical and vision insurance, a monthly allowance, and miscellaneous college expenses, to name a few. They do try and place recipients in the country of application, however if you enroll outside of the county, the do offer as a bonus air fare home between semesters.

The Scholarship Program is intended to be for academically meritorious but financially needy Muslim students with strong desire to engage in social services and community development. They must also be able to meet the following eligibility criteria:

Maximum age of 24 years;

Completed senior secondary education (or the equivalent of approximately 12 years of education) with good grades in major science subjects

Secured admission in one of the disciplines covered under the Program at a recognized college or university in their own countries; and

Not in receipt of any other scholarship at the time of application and during studies.

The Islamic Schools' League of America is very excited to announce this new scholarship exclusively for students of full time Islamic schools. The amount and number of scholarships are based on the League’s overall fundraising income and, consequently, will change from year to year.

This is a graduate scholarship available to Muslims studying in science, medicine or engineering. The scholarship can be used at U.S. colleges and the applicant must be a practicing Muslim of high academic merit. This is a full scholarship award, paying all tuition fees, a monthly allowance, and they will give you a ticket home once during the two to three years you are a scholarship recipient.

Journalists interested in taking college courses in religion or spirituality may apply for a scholarship program offered by the Religion Newswriters Association. Journalists will receive scholarships for up to $5,000 each to study religion at any accredited college, university or seminary. Scholarships cover expenses including tuition, registration fees and books.
The M. Naziruddin Award for Excellence will be awarded to students exhibiting a strong commitment to Islamic activism, involvement in their MSA (Muslim Student Association) or local equivalent Islamic organization, concern for the American Muslim community, and outstanding academic goals and achievements. We are looking for individuals who embody the qualities that M. Naziruddin Ali exhibited in his own life and work: dedication to Islamic activism in North America, and excellence in educational and career achievements as a means for advancement of the community at large. In his honor, scholarships will be awarded to students who exhibit qualities of his exceptional legacy in the amounts of $2,500, $1,500, $1,000. The M. Naziruddin Ali Award for Excellence scholarship deadline is June 17
th.
The vision of MYLA is to help the youth in the community get world-class education by providing them with scholarships towards their education. This will Insha Allah help create effective future leaders for our community and role models for the generation that will follow them. The MYLA Board had $36,000 in scholarship awards this year 2010. The TMO Foundationis pleased to announce five scholarships to students in journalism and communications. The first prize carries $1500, the second $1,000 and the third $750. Additionally, two more scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to students in need of financial subsidy to pursue education. The deadline for the TMO scholarship is March 15

UMF is offering three $4,000 scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year to High School Seniors or University Students who are UMF members. If you wish to apply, sign up to become a UMF member today and start logging in your volunteer hours. Membership forms can be found on UMF's website. The Qatar Scholarship Program offers dedicated Arabic language students from the United States the opportunity to master their skills in an intensive Arabic language program at the Qatar University (QU) in Doha for an entire academic year (September to June). The scholarship includes tuition, room and board in university dorms, round-trip airfare, and books. This program is designed for those who have already developed their Arabic at the intermediate and advanced levels. Students passing a proficiency exam at QU will also have the opportunity to audit regular undergraduate courses taught in Arabic in an array of subjects. As this is a non-degree program, students will receive a certificate upon completion of the academic year but no academic credit will be awarded. The Department of Arabic has a number of specialized instructors who have extensive experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. Written and spoken Modern Standard Arabic are offered. The curriculum includes: reading, composition, phonetics, Arabic literature in the modern period, the Qur'an, Hadith, schools of poetry, rhetoric, Arabic grammar, semantics, and methods of teaching Arabic for non-native speakers.
