 As-Salaam Alaikum!

 A Special Prayer Request

"And when I am ill, it is He who cures me" -The Holy Quran 26:80

WNYMuslims is asking for a special prayer from the community. Many of you are familiar with our previous Executive Director, and now Senior Advisor, Nicole Mutignani. Nicole has been a very active member within the community for the past few years and is very dear to us all, WNYMuslims would definitely not be what it is today if not for her role.

Nicole's sister was in a very serious Motorcycle accident this last weekend and is currently in the hospital. We ask that the community make duaa and pray for Nicole and her family, and Christina's speedy recovery. They need every prayer they can get, and inshaAllah Allah swt will help them through this difficult time. We ask that you respect her privacy, and if anyone would like to help in any way to let us know.

Thank you and JazakumAllah khair

WNYMuslims Presents: 'No Apology' a Short Film Premiere

WNYMuslims is excited to announce that on Thursday August 29th at 6:00 pm we will be premiering our latest short film, 'No Apology.'  The event will take place at the University at Buffalo North campus student Union Assembly Hall 330.  The film will be shown in its entirety for the first time, followed by a discussion and refreshments.

Production on this film began at the end of April, shortly after the tragic Boston Bombing.  WNYMuslims staff and local youth felt it necessary to speak out about the constant stereotyping and negative portrayal of Muslims and Islam in the media.

This event is free and open to the public. WNYMuslims encourages community members, political leaders and the media to join us in viewing the film and participating in a discussion. You can view a trailer for the film HERE.
